THTC's products are made from GOTS-Certified organic hemp, blended with GOTS-Certified organic cotton.
Our standard blend of 55% organic hemp / 45% organic cotton, though our socks are made with 51% organic hemp / 38% organic cotton and 11% spandex.
A field of hemp will capture 25 times more C02 as the same area of trees.
One hectare of hemp can absorb 22 tonnes of C02 per hectare, more than any forest or commercial crop and is therefore the ideal carbon sink.
We do not use plastic in any of our packaging, and we use recycled and / or sustainably sourced card and paper to produce our marketing materials.
Since our launch in 1999, we have always make sure to visit the factories in which we produce to speak directly to the workers and factory owners, ask them questions, and perform our own audit.
We built THTC on a foundation of strong ethics within the workplace, and have been pioneering 'ethical' and 'sustainable' fashion way before they became buzzwords used by big businesses within the fashion world.
THTC came runner up in the first ever Observer Ethical Awards in 2006 for 'Ethical Fashion Product of The year)', and we have been nominated for several awards since.
THTC's CEO Gavin Lawson also won a People and Environment Award (PEA Award) in 2012 for Music Arts and Fashion.

Please see the below 'Ethiscore' chart. (*MUD Jeans scores 2 points higher that THTC but are a Dutch brand).
We don't use packaging for our garments. While most factories send their products wrapped in individual plastic, we have for many years insisted that our factories do not use any plastic or any packaging at all other than the cardboard boxes that the products are used to ship to us.
When we send out orders, we send them inbrown paper envelopes, made from sustainably sourced paper - never in plastic. Our swing tags are made from recycled brown cards attached with twine.
We have regularly worked with the University of West London, running sustainability and upcycling workshops with their fashion students.
Previously, THTC has produced upcycled ranges with brands such as My Only One and Good One.
