It’s fair to say that without the Devon-based street artist Mau Mau, THTC would most likely not exist today. Founder Gav Lawson met the dredi designer around 2000 after seeing an album cover of the Godfather of UK hip-hop, Rodney P’s which he had designed, and immediately tracked him down.

Since then, Mau Mau has been our most prolific contributing artist, having been responsible for many of our best-loved designs, including Get Rich or Try Sharing, Evil Mac, System of a Mau and our Chant Down Babylon lion’s head design, which has become synonymous with THTC.
